Yay. I havn't blogged for awhile, I need to work on getting some people other than Jordan, no offense, as my friends! :)
I have begun my career as an RN. I like it so far, but I am no where close to being on my own yet. It is very intimidating to be solely responsible for the nursing care of any number of people. I cannot wait til orientation is over, and I feel halfway competent. Also, I am looking forward to being on nights. To heck with this up at 545 am to be there at 7, crap. Sooo happy to be done with school and that scary Nclex. Dave is casually looking for a new job as well.

Graduation and such
Dave and I have finally graduated! We are very happy about this, and now we are presented with other challenges. We now need to find jobs, myself moreso. I have scheduled to take my NCLEX exam for the beginning of July, and still have no job offers. I am kind of nervous because when I pass, if i pass, I can no longer work as a nurse extern at Barberton hospital. So, I was hoping things would fall into place within the next 3 weeks job-wise. I need to have some income so I cannot be without work. I could always reschedule my Nclex for a further date, but some employers want me to be licensed before applying for the job, so it is frustrating. I probably have at least 20 applications out for jobs right now, and am applying for more today. I am now applying for nursing homes/extended care facilities. Not exactly the job I want right now , but we will see...
On a happier note, Dave and I are celebrating our 4 year anniversary with dinner out tonight! The family is relatively healthy, my nieces and nephew are entertaining, and all is well.

Countdown- 8 weeks til Graduation
So Dave and I are both very excited for graduation. 8 more weeks until graduation, May 8, for myself. Unfortunately Dave's ceremony is on a different day than mine, May 9! My last rotation of nursing is Critical Care which starts next week, with my clinicals at Akron City, Summa hospital. This is the nursing rotation I have been looking forward to the most! I am so excited to finally graduate and bed done with school for a while. I want to move somewhere to with a bathtub I can soak in, (we just have a shower now), laundry facilities in the place, and no screaming hillbilly neighbors. haha. the last one will be the most difficult to achieve.
I am sooo proud of my mom right now! She hasn't smoked for a month or so now!! So yay mom!
